Largemouth Bass Tips

Some largemouth bass tips that can really help you with your angling is right here. The bass fishing area is a great one with most of the citizens of America contributing in some way to the art of bass fishing. the bass can be found in every state in the Union, including Alaska. You may ask how that is possible that this warm loving fish can be as far north as Alaska? Evolution, my friend, evolution. The bass are wonders of the fish world with their huge mouths and beautifully marked colors, very camouflaged indeed. The bass tip that will work quite well for hooking up with this massive freshwater game fish is the wild shiner. The Florida wild shiner is an important prey item for the bass. The lakes are full of the shiners and since the bass prefer these golden slivers of light to any other food, that makes the connection great.

The best way to catch a largemouth bass is to present the wild shiner on a bobber type terminal connection. This way, the shiner stays off the bottom and does not get lost in the weeds and grass, making the bait presentation a success. The bass will see the shiner swimming happily or not so happily seeing that it will have a nice sized hook through its lips, and will attack. The bass will eat every size shiner that it can get its massive jaws around. The fighting will be superb with leaps and deep long runs that will be both exile-rating and cool. The next time you decide to take a trip to another part of the country, look into where the largemouth bass guys are. No matter where you head off to from Maine to California, the largemouth bass will be there as well. Ready to strike your lure or live-bait offering and send the thrilling chilling charges of joy throughout your body. The largemouth looks about the same regulation bass that inhabits the lakes and ponds of Florida with a few exceptions.

Along the way to Texas, a researcher at The University of Texas decided that it would be a great idea to cross a smallmouth with a largemouth. The result is the ever elusive, Guadalupe bass of central Texas. Found only in the lakes and streams of Austin, the bass is a fun way for the bass angler who wants something a little different to get his bass on.

Texas is home to a few varieties of bass with the largemouth being the most prolific and the small mouth running a close second. The largemouth can be found in every lake county in the state and some even have claimed a few major rivers as home. Who knew? The ole Texas bass is alive and well in the biggest state in the Union, Texas. The next time you want to go fishing and heading west is on the map, stop in at Texas and drop them a line. You will be glad you did.
